30,000 mile check up

In my job, I see pool customers and pools at their worst. ‘It’s broken, it’s
leaking, it’s green, or something caught fire (…and we’re having a pool party
on Friday!).’ Many of the repairs that I see are failures from lack of regular
equipment maintenance, lack of inspection, lack of attention and lack of regular
checkups.
Everybody buys in to the idea that our cars need to have fluids changed
every 3,000 miles, proper tire pressure and follow the maintenance schedule
laid out by the factory. We spend just as much money on a pool and spa as
we do on our cars, yet there’s not nearly enough attention given to the overall
pool system. Why? Too expensive? Too technical?
Much like dummy lights on a dashboard to alert you that something needs
attention, there are products on the market that can do the same for pools
and hot tubs. We have all heard how automation controllers make it more
convenient and fun to use the pool and hot tub, not only for changing lights and
turning water features on via smartphone, but are you aware automation also
makes maintenance easier for both our client and us the pool professional?
For example, a pool pump that alerts you when filter pressure is too high, a
