ask themselves the question, “Do we do the job just because?” or take the
approach of a company responsibility to educate the consumer on what they
may not know.
We as an industry should help all swimmers enjoy a safe environment and we
should strive together to educate the consumer on what exempt really means.
Perhaps there should be discussion on a requirement to have some information
posted when a pool is exempt to make the user aware of the exemption.
The debate will continue on if some should be exempt; the question more
realistically is, “Why you would want to be?”
