topics included energy-saving products
available to the pool industry, what they
do to save money, and where the most
savings are available on an average pool.
He also covered the basic concept of
OHMS Law and how to apply it. Everyone
who attended benefited greatly from the

2014 being held on Wednesday, March
19. The Marketplace 2014 will be held at
Embassy Suites, 1601 Belvedere Rd., West
Palm Beach. Registration for attendees,
both members and non-members, is free
with pre-registration. Online registration
will be available until March 19, the day of
Marketplace 2014. Watch your inbox for

Chapter membership meetings
resume onApril 15 at Contractors Business
Park. Please mark you calendar and plan
to attend. The program will be on workers’
compensation and workplace safety.

Chapter’s Annual Golf Tournament will
be held April 25 at The Champions Club
at Julington Creek with a shotgun start at
9:00 a.m. A continental breakfast will kick
off the day and the event will end with a
cookout. Start getting your team together!

The Northeast Florida Chapter had a great
turnout for its first Member / Employee
Training.
North Central Chapter.
The Board of Directors has planned
events for the year they feel would be
of interest to you as a member. Please
support your Chapter by attending. If you
have something specific you would like to
see at a meeting, please let us hear from
you.

The Northeast Florida Chapter held the
first Board Meeting of the year on January
23. Thank you to
SCP Distributors
for
hosting the meeting and providing a yummy
BBQ dinner. The tentative calendar was set
for Chapter meetings. The meetings will
be held the third Thursday of the month
for most months. There will be no meeting
in February due to the annual show. The
next meeting will be held March 27. April
is the annual golf tournament, see below
for additional information.
The first Chapter meeting was held
January 30 at the Holiday Inn Town Center.
This was the Chapter’s first Member/
Employee Training. There were over 70
members and employees who attended
the event. All participants received a volt
meter, a gift from Pentair and a certificate
from the Chapter. A big thank you to our
presenters:

electric troubleshooting;

who taught basic water chemistry
and why we test; and

The Chapter presented a $2,000
donation check to the PIPAC committee at
the state Board meeting.
The state office has asked each
Chapter to have a representative on the
new Commercial Council.
