and the Charlotte Harbor Chapter of the FSPA, we
will be offering CPR Certification Training by theAmerican Heart Association on
August 21 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. This is a two hour certification program
which will include all materials and a two-year AHA CPR Certification Card.
This program is free and is open to the first 50 people to sign up. Sign up at

On June 13 at the monthly meeting held at Grind Gastropub, the Board of
Directors presented
Billy Moore
with a plaque in recognition of his years of
dedication and service to the East Central Chapter and the swimming pool
industry. After graduating college in Georgia, Billy was hired by Gorman
Company in 1971. He helped start the East Central Florida Chapter of the
National Spa and Pool Institute and served as Chapter President twice. He
also helped start the East Central Chapter of FSPA and is a past president.
Billy retired from Gorman after 42 years of service. He is now enjoying the
“after life” with his wife of 46 years, Shirley, and their nine grandchildren.

5:30 p.m. and the meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.
The state Board of Directors Meeting will be held September 12-13 at the
Hyatt Regency in Sarasota. Everyone is welcome to come and attend the
different committee meetings on Friday. For more information, please contact
